Installation steps

  1. Install ASA Privacy Shield from its verified Chrome Web Store listing.
  2. Open or reload web.whatsapp.com.
  3. Select the ASA shield control or extension popup and enable privacy protection.
  4. Open Settings to choose protected categories, privacy levels, profiles, schedules and meeting controls.

Before reporting a problem

  1. Reload WhatsApp Web once.
  2. Confirm ASA is enabled and its site access includes WhatsApp Web.
  3. Test in a normal Chrome window with other WhatsApp extensions temporarily disabled.
  4. Record the ASA version, Chrome version, affected feature and reproduction steps.
